If you are suffering from anxiety or panic, you’ve come to the right place. I've treated anxiety and panic disorders for more than ten years, and have developed a 4-step anxiety and panic treatment model that offers rapid relief with lasting change.
This approach not only treats the symptoms of your anxiety, but helps change the underlying patterns that cause your anxiety. This anxiety and panic treatment model is suitable for both adolescents and adults.
Step One: Understanding Your Anxiety
We'll start our work together with me learning about you and your symptoms. Everybody experiences anxiety differently, and I'll make sure I fully understand your experience so that I can give you the best possible treatment. Step One typically lasts 2 - 3 sessions.
Step Two: Addressing Symptoms
People want relief from their anxiety and panic FAST! That's why we'll start with addressing your symptoms. When you're feeling better, you get more enjoyment out of your life and feel more like your "old self again". Step Two can take 4 - 6 sessions. I will often incorporate hypnotherapy or EMDR into this phase, although it is not a requirement.
Step Three: Changing Patterns
Once your anxiety symptoms are not as overwhelming, we'll work on the beliefs and patterns in your life that trigger your anxiety. You'll respond to people, events, and circumstances differently so anxiety or panic are no longer your "default" response. Step Three typically takes between three and ten sessions, depending on the individual.
Step Four: Lasting Change
Step Four is the "maintenance" phase. Once you're feeling great, life will happen, and I want to make sure you're fully equipped to handle it without your anxiety or panic returning. Step Four consists of three monthly sessions.
