Take the first step toward managing your anxiety with my specialized CalmPath© anxiety treatment method.
Anxiety is a natural response to a perceived threat. A special part of your brain, the amygdala is responsible for identifying threats and triggering the anxiety response. The system works well, unless the amygdala identifies the wrong things as threats. When this happens, you develop anxiety that doesn't serve a useful purpose. (Think anxious about driving or a fear of the water.)
When you perceive common, everyday experiences as threat, your anxiety goes into overdrive. If left unchecked, it can even lead to panic attacks.
What's the solution? We do it by changing your brains perceptions of what is and isn't a threat. We help your amygdala not be on such high alert by shifting your beliefs.
When you perceive fewer threats and less danger in your environment, you experience less anxiety. That's exactly what my 4-step anxiety and panic treatment model does. I've treated anxiety and panic for more than twenty years, and I developed this model as a result of that work to help my clients find rapid relief with lasting change.
My CalmPath© approach not only treats the symptoms of your anxiety, but helps change the underlying patterns that cause your anxiety. This anxiety and panic treatment model is suitable for both adolescents and adults.
Anxiety and panic don't need to rob your life of joy.
My CalmPath anxiety treatment approach includes the following four steps:
Step One: Understanding Your Anxiety
We'll start our work together with me learning about you and your symptoms. Everybody experiences anxiety differently, and I'll make sure I fully understand your experience so that I can give you the best possible treatment. Step One typically lasts 2 - 3 sessions.
Step Two: Addressing Symptoms
People want relief from their anxiety and panic FAST! That's why we'll start with addressing your symptoms. When you're feeling better, you get more enjoyment out of your life and feel more like your "old self again". Step Two can take 4 - 6 sessions. I will often incorporate hypnotherapy or EMDR into this phase, although it is not a requirement.
Step Three: Changing Patterns
Once your anxiety symptoms are not as overwhelming, we'll work on the beliefs and patterns in your life that trigger your anxiety. You'll respond to people, events, and circumstances differently so anxiety or panic are no longer your "default" response. Step Three typically takes between three and ten sessions, depending on the individual.
Step Four: Lasting Change
Step Four is the "maintenance" phase. Once you're feeling great, life will happen, and I want to make sure you're fully equipped to handle it without your anxiety or panic returning. Step Four consists of three monthly sessions.

Jennifer is an amazing therapist! I’ve seen therapists in the past for my anxiety, but none of them helped me the way she did.

Anxiety therapy is a type of anxiety treatment that helps individuals manage and reduce their anxiety symptoms while also treating the cause of the anxiety. This allows clients to short-term as well as long-term anxiety relief.
The duration of anxiety therapy varies for each individual, but many people start to see improvements within a few weeks of consistent therapy sessions.
Both medication and therapy are effective anxiety treatments. Medication is a powerful way to treat your anxiety symptoms, but it doesn't fix the cause of the anxiety. Therapy treats the symptoms of the anxiety as well as fixing the cause of the anxiety. Many clients with severe anxiety choose an anxiety treatment that includes both medication and therapy until their symptoms subside enough that they no longer need the medication.
During an anxiety therapy session, you can expect to discuss your anxiety symptoms, learn coping mechanisms, and work with me using my specialized anxiety treatment approach.
Each 50-minute session is $250. Some clients prefer longer 80-minute sessions; these are $375. Most clients complete the anxiety treatment program with 15 - 20 sessions.

If you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety that are impacting your daily life, relationships, or overall well-being, anxiety therapy may be beneficial for you. Anxiety often gets worse if it isn't treated, and therapy for anxiety is one of most effective ways to treat it.
